Pinging for blog traffic.

When you have a blog and you are out of tricks in regards to getting more traffic, you end up doing crazy things like for example using portals like traffic2uhits and the likelyhoods.

But nevertheless, the question is how effective are most of this traffic generating portals that use the autosurf concept?

Well most of them are just a waste of time. This is because most people just use the automated surfing concept and hardly read or pay a visit to a specific blog through that method. Thus finding a method that really works, would surely make your day, if you have tried most of the tutorials or tricks as in regards to Search Engine Optimization.

Well I discovered that the one method that works for my blog. The pinging method.

USA tops spam-spewing list.

In what I would call an unbelievable shocking news, the greatest USA tops the latest spam-spewing list.

Sophos has published its latest report on the top 12 spam-spewing countries for Q4 2005. USA still tops the charts; but for the first time, the country accounts for less than one quarter of all spam relayed.

Are you suffering from Internet addiction disorder?

I “think”, I am suffering from Internet addiction disorder, or maybe I just feel that way because I happen to spend atleast 6 hours a day on the net.

What “Internet addiction disorder” (IAD) is still difficult to define based on what I have read from various articles of relation.

Much of the researches are based upon the weakest type of research methodology, namely exploratory surveys with no clear hypothesis or rationale backing them. Nevertheless, coming from an atheoretical approach has some benefits, but also it is not typically recognized as being a strong way to approach a new disorder.

Some articles have expanded beyound the original surveys approaches and tackled it objectively.

Google’s co-founder’s cash in timing questionable?

Last month, the 32-year-old celebrity co-founders of Google each sold more than $160 million worth of their company’s stock. But does the timing at which it was done call for a re-assesment of the future prospect, if you happen to be an investor?

Of course, there’s nothing new about executives at hot tech outfits getting rich selling their stock once their companies go public. Microsoft’s Bill Gates for example, didn’t become the richest man in the world because of his take-home salary.

But nevertheless as rightly put by Charles Elson, director of the Weinberg Center for Corporate Governance at the University of Delaware. :-

Internet users can judge a website in less than a blink of an eye from their first visit. An impression does have a huge impact on the livelihood of any web prescence.

In just a brief one-twentieth of a second-less than than half the time it takes to blink-people make aesthetic judgements that influence the rest of their experience with a website. The study was published by Canadian Researchers in the latest issue of the Behaviour and Informational Technology Journal.

The author said the findings had powerful implications in the field of website design and I do totally agree.

Rutgers-Camden Research introduces graphical passwords.

How safe is your online information? Not nearly enough, due largely to the secrecy of personal passwords being easily compromised by hackers and “shoulder surfers.”

But how about a solution that allows you to use images instead of words or even numbers or the combination of the two? This next wave of computer password security could possibly result in greatly enhanced security for online retailers and sensitive information stored on computer hard drives.
