With the current controversy triggered by the recent search of the house of the VP of Nigeria by the FBI, even though, he was supposed to be diplomatic immune to a search warrant, has led to a lot of questions on How Could the VP himself afford such a mansion in the US in 1988 for $175000? It is said to be currently worth more than 2 million dollars. Even though he was just an immigration officer back then.

This has led to a lot of investigations back in Nigeria, in regards to the property in question and a lot of debates, are currently going on all over Nigerian websites, forums and even blogs across the net, on the likelihood of corruption which might lead to a possible impeachment .

The questions that still remains unanswered are:-

  • Was Attiku a corrupt Immigration Officer?

  • Would he be impeached?
  • From my own personal opinion, I dont think the impeachment process would come into existence, this is because the process doesnt go that easy. Besides the possibility of the Northern part of Nigeria, to raise an alarm, when they see a Yoruba man, on the way to removing their own man. But still time would tell.

    1. I find it strange amusing that there is so much dust being raised about the palatial home of our own sir Atiku Abubarka. What is generating so much noise all over the world and Nigeria in particular is nothing but a small drop compared to what these ‘felons’ control!
From the president to the very last man, they bites into our resources like no man business. OBJ has been Nigeria’s petroleum minister for well over six years! He has been responsible for well over six unnecessary fuel increment to further imporvarish the people in the face of over-whelming income from abroad! An average nigerian live far below the poverty level even by african standards! OBJ, ATIKU and other cohorts own their own private universities, oil wells etc.
The ‘palatial’ home in maryland is actually what he was worth in 1988 Multiply that by 10,000 times and that should give you a fair idea of what he is worth today.

    6. There is just no moral reason for anybody to investigate Atiku. I think the investigation should start from Ota Farm, how could a General in the army afford a farm as big as Obasonjo’s farm back then? When we resolve that we can close in on Atiku. Everybody should know that Obasanjo will remain one of the most corrupt Nigerian, so also Atiku
