What am i upto?

Saturday, May 28th, 2005

Well actually nothing much so to say. The crazy 2 months vacation, and also the chunk of coding and customization, here and there, and not forgetting the loneliness, as in currently i would say its official. whatever that means you might say but those close to me know what i mean. Anywayz i am currently working on launching something special, that Nigerians in Nigeria have always dreamt of, but havent really got the services together with the quality and the price to pay, other issues might be logisitics etc which would apply to the service renderer besides other factors such as payment gateways etc. You might realise that i am not really stating what it is. Well its still under development, and i really want to be fully ready before announcing it officially.

Well i have been doing a lot of Surveys and Research but hopefully by next month it would be fully online. It is even a suprise to my partners :D. Actually the whole idea actually came from my friends, that have always wanted such services. Well then recently i taught, that why not provide it to the whole Nigeria?, instead of just friends only. Well as i said its still kindda confidential now. Stay Tuned, till the launch…............. You would be very excited, that is if you are in Nigeria :D

SHOULD I FINANCE MY BUSINESS?

Thursday, May 5th, 2005

When it comes to bringing a business idea into reality, a major problem that always arises is the lack of funds due to the nature of the plan intended. But nevertheless a good business plans does require that you look for external finances to ensure that there is a total distribution of resources contribution and enough funds to maintain the perfect architecture of the plan, withdrawing from ones own pocket is highly discouraged even if you have the surplus funds because it normally leads to the restricted urge of trying to be prudent in spending to save and thus affect the supposed desired achievement massively. Due to the this fact most of the basic necessities and luxury that ensures success is cut back in attempt to save more.
So really the need to look for external financing is really a must, but then again most of the so-called young entrepreneurs are running away from it due to the fact that they have to share the profits earned. One fact is most are greedy and self-centred. The others, well not really to be blamed perhaps we might say, because of issues like the likelihood of investors stealing the idea.

But the truth about new unique business is even the business plan are stolen nothing really can be archived with the business idea. What of if my idea were stolen through the business plan, what would I do? They would ask? I would say I don’t care. As long as I designed the business plan myself. The business plan is supposed to address what you are doing, what you are tackling, and the forecasted market and possible income from it.
The Business plan does not contain the step-by-step approach to running the system I suppose!! It’s a guide. And therefore replicating and implementing it would be really hard, if it’s as unique as it’s supposed to be. I would say I would only give proposals to business ideas that are only unique; otherwise what’s new about them, if they are just some imitated concept of another persons business, and what is the turning point? Well so really the alarm, is uncalled for!! And besides I am yet to come across someone whose business ideas was stolen by the investor through a business plan and implemented.
The hard part of business plans is the convincing part. You really have to convince your investors to invest; by really understanding what you are doing and making them see what you have installed. Raising the capitals after designing the business plan is not that difficult, if you really have the business plan designed. How many of you have really designed one and couldn’t raise the capital? I really doubt any of you does. All we do is complain without effort.

And one more tip, do you want your company to be a multinational standard? To achieve this does not require any voodoo that is. The basic rule is to get it financed by external resources, be consistent as much as possible, and make sure all your plans are followed, reviewed and redeveloped in a cycle to the later, and always enjoy firing under performers, retraining would cost you more than recruiting a better one. And to end it, it’s easier saying than doing.

Relationships

Wednesday, May 4th, 2005

Do I happen to be a heartbreaker, or a heartless guy? , Well I would say “No”. When it comes to relationship there are problems surrounding factors such as time, money, sacrifice or even self-gratification in terms of feeling good about the whole idea, and this is really something worth tackling before going ahead into the deep realms of the whole idea. I personally do not believe that because I happen to be in a relationship, and there is love, and I am not really comfortable with the sacrifies that I really have to push myself hard to accept it, because I don’t want to hurt the other party involved. This does apply to a current relationship I had to let go. The problem with this relationship was not love, money, or I have to lie a bit time. The main issue was that I was not really comfortable with the idea of that fixated point in my life.

Many would say I am not mature enough probably, or even go into the extent to say that I am a self-centred person. Well you can judge me but you cannot be right about your judgement. But then again we shouldn’t forget the fact that I am just 22—? I still do have a long way to go in my life. And really I am not ready to settle if that might be the case. Men are always afraid in general. But in my case that’s not the issue at all. I want a flexible relationship. A relationship I can say enough is enough, and that’s the end of it. Not a relationship that bonds me forever tills the altar calls.

Recently I was in a relationship, and really I think in fact it was a healthy one except for the fact that I did not really have time, and besides I was afraid of the fact that the relationship was going too deep. I couldn’t really be there for my lady. So I decided to call it quits. But really I would say this was one of the hardest decision I had take in years. But what a man got to do, he has to do. Now well I tried to explain the reason for my stance by my ex-lady would not see it. Well to make it easy on me I just did ask for forgiveness and had to bear the fact that she wont really see my angle, not now, maybe the future. That’s a lady for you.

Well indeed relationships are what they are, hard to let go, hard to forget and really had too reason rationally when they are not going well.

Developing Developed VS Developing Undeveloped

Developing Developed VS Developing Undeveloped

Developing Developed VS Developing Undeveloped, Comfort Bankruptcy VS Comfort Poverty, and the list goes on and on. The Developing developed world (The USA, Australia, European Countries and even Some Asian Countries) whilst in the other case The Developing Undeveloped (Most African countries, Some South American countries, Some European countries, and also not forgetting Asian countries). Nest of comfort packaged around governmental level of citizen support in terms of education through loans, house acquisition through mortgages, Free shopping through credit cards etc.

Many of us are actually still have this believe that the state of the Developing developed world is what to dream for and what to expect in what we may called a perfect system of governance and livelihood. The dream has elevated to the extent that there is nothing that could stop them from making use of any opportunity to migrate to any country that gives such opportunities as listed above. Frankly when I take a look at such system I don’t see anything to look or copy from. Firstly the method of getting educated in the developing developed world. Getting education from such countries are so expensive that the citizens are left with no choice but to take loans or financial aids to support them through out the education. Now this loans means they are automatically in debt from day 1 of deciding to get an education in a higher institution, and mind you there are not interest free loans, they are in fact supported by an interesting amount of loans that you have to struggle all you life trying to repay after getting out of this institution. So what is so special about getting in debt, I think those in African countries should be proud of the fact that after education in the higher institution, they are not in debt!! Mortgages another way to get you in debt, now I need a home, I can get it due to support by the system I stay in, but then what about the interest rates, the debt? I mean what is so special about it, why cant I just rent instead and be debt free? And besides the idea of saving the money that is supposed to go for repaying mortgages plus the interest would eventually be able to be saved for a new debt free home. And besides using the part to also pay rent ;) don’t you think this is just a perfect solution, but yet again many of us still think we really need mortgages, and having a house is an asset, but not forgetting the debt!! That you would have to be repaying all your life, and even maybe your children would continue repaying too. Another form of slavery is here and is here to stay in the new developed world!! Or even yet to be developed. Slavery to Banks, government, and financial institutions is really what this is, and what can be worse than that. Well I guess every development or progress has its price.
