lead generation
A marketing guy walks into a post office one day to send out 100 lead-generating postcards. As he gets ready to post them (expecting to get about 5 new sales leads from them) he sees a middle-aged, balding man standing at the counter methodically placing “Love” stamps on bright pink envelopes with hearts all over them. Then the man takes out a perfume bottle and starts spraying scent all over them.
His curiosity getting the better of him, the marketing guy goes up to the balding man and asks him what he is doing.
The man says: “I’m sending out 100 ‘I-Love-You’ cards. I’ve signed them, ‘Guess who? And I’m putting perfume on them all.”
“But why?” asks the marketing guy.
The man looks at the postcards the marketing guy is holding. ” Just like you, I’m generating some new leads for my business …….. I’m a divorce lawyer.”
